Prior to the AGM, the Trust held an open meeting to discuss all aspects of the Trusts work. The Directors asked for meeting support to continue with the purchase of land within Kinloch and Tormore Forest under the National Forest Land Scheme. This was endorsed by all present, with one vote against. Chairmans remarks: The Chairman opened the meeting by thanking all those attending. He went on to explain the procedure for electing directors and indicated that:- Janet MacLeod and Charles Culbertson are standing down as directors and NOT seeking re-election. Donald MacGregor is standing down as a director by rotation and IS seeking re-election. Mairi Nicolson, proposed by Charles Culbertson, seconded by Pam Christie is seeking election to the Board of Directors of Sleat Community Trust Andrew Prendergast, proposed by Margaret Zerafa, seconded by Sine Threlfall is seeking election to the Board of Directors of Sleat Community Trust. Angus Venters, proposed by Carol Lawson, seconded by Elizabeth MacLean is seeking election to the Board of Directors of Sleat Community Trust. Peter Fowler is nominated by Sleat Community Council as their representative on the Board of Directors of Sleat Community Trust. There being no other nominations, the Chairman asked the meeting to endorse the nominations. Treasurers report: The Treasure presented the Accounts for the period ending 31st March 2006. The Meeting approved the accounts. Appointment of Auditors: The Treasurer moved that Mann Judd Gordon be retained as Auditors for the Trust. The motion was carried.
